In the previous mention, I mentioned that my investment plan was approved by the Investment Review Committee within three months. However, during these three months, we were not idle. My wife and I worked together. She was responsible for gathering relevant information for immigrating to Taiwan. I was responsible for improving the company’s systems to align with the business of our Taiwan subsidiary.
We conducted detailed information gathering and ultimately chose to settle in Taichung. The weather here is very good, and it’s easy for people from Hong Kong to adapt.
After choosing Taichung, we visited Taiwanese real estate websites to find ideal residential and office spaces. Due to the vibrant rental market in Taiwan, even though there is a considerable supply, the demand is also high, and properties are typically rented out within a few days. So, we just took reference and planned to contact real estate agents after arriving in Taiwan.
More importantly, while browsing the real estate websites, we could also use Google Maps to understand the local area. My wife has excellent navigational skills, which will greatly assist us in our future life in Taichung. Additionally, my wife spent a lot of time understanding Taiwan’s labor laws and regulations, avoiding legal complications after starting a business.
Time flies, and three months passed in the blink of an eye. We received good news from the immigration consultant: the Investment Review Committee officially approved our investment immigration plan.
To know what happens next, please stay tuned for the next update.
