Introduction

In 2012, in Taiwan, at the Jiaoxi Grand Hotel, I told my then-girlfriend that I hoped to immigrate to Taiwan someday.

In 2014, in Hong Kong, my web company was doing well, and as I didn’t have many material desires, I only wished for a simple and peaceful life. I felt it was time to slow down. Thanking the heavens, I formally began considering immigrating to Taiwan as a significant life decision.

Around 2016, Hong Kong and even the whole world experienced many events. I told myself to maintain inner peace no matter what happened in the external world, although it was truly challenging.

One day in 2020, at my home in Hong Kong, in my bedroom, I strongly felt that the entire world was undergoing tremendous changes. I told myself to maintain good thoughts, believing that one day the world would become a better place. The plan of immigrating to Taiwan, contemplated for many years, had finally reached the crucial moment of implementing this life decision.

Whether I ultimately stepped out of my comfort zone or entered another more comfortable one, I truly do not know. The unknown future brings both fear and excited anticipation.

As one of the 7 billion individuals, this is my small story. In this grand era, I hold good thoughts, hoping for wonderful and amazing things to happen to kind-hearted people globally.
